Pakistan cricket team and the board have been at loggerheads for a long time now and during the recently concluded Test series against England, reports emerged claiming that Ramiz Raja might be sacked as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief. Eventually, there was a rumoured rift between Babar Azam and Raja as the duo kept coming up with a war of words.

Notably, Raja claimed recently that the Pakistani team must adopt a T20 mindset in the longest format of the game. Citing England as an example for the same, Raja claimed that it was necessary for the Pakistan team to make changes in their approach going forward. However, it did not go well with Babar who hit back post-defeat against the English team in the third Test saying that the team cannot please anyone.

“The door is not shut for anyone. There is a set plan for everything and we have it for every format. You can’t change things in a day or week. It takes time. For mindset to change, it takes time. Then, if we start playing defensively, journalists will ask why we don’t play aggressively and when we play aggressively, they ask why we don’t play the other way. There will always be questions, you can’t please everyone,” Babar was quoted as saying.

As things stand, amid all the chaos that is surrounding the Pakistani team, on December 21, Wednesday, the news about Raja reportedly getting sacked resurfaced and the fans, who could not keep their calm about the same, took to Twitter to express their opinions. Najam Sethi is all set to serve as the new PCB chief and it remains to be seen if any action would be taken against skipper Babar.

While a few batted for Raja, most of them wanted him out of the board and many were glad about the result. With Sethi taking over as the new chief, it remains to be seen if the board would come up with aggressive actions given that the Pakistani men are going through one of the rough phases of all time. While the fans await the official news from the Pakistan Cricket Board, a few of them went over the board to slam Raja for his indecisiveness as the chief.
