Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris trolled Rajasthan for the goals they set for the New Year. Rajasthan shared a list of goals they want to achieve in 2022. Rajasthan's social media handle is known for its sarcastic posts and the list was no less than a laughter riot for the fans.

The biggest goal for Rajasthan is to win the Indian T20 League (ITL) title in 2022. They also listed out a few other goals such as clearance of the pending appraisal and a shoutout by Baba Sehgal etc. However, what caught the attention of Styris was a point where Rajasthan mentioned that they want to get up in the prediction rankings of Scott Styris. Notably, Styris had predicted Royals to finish last in the previous edition of the Indian T20 League.

Replying to Rajasthan's Twitter handle, Styris reverted, "At least make them realistic (wink emoji)".

While Rajasthan didn't finish last, they had an average tournament and managed to win just 5 games. They could not even reach the playoffs and finished seventh. The franchise will be hoping for better returns in the coming season.

Ahead of the mega auction, Rajasthan retained skipper Sanju Samson, wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Despite Rajasthan's poor show, Samson had a decent tournament and scored 484 runs in 15 games, including one century and two half-centuries.
