After winning the toss, captain Suryakumar Yadav chose to bowl first. India went with Sanju Samson as wicketkeeper-batter ahead of Jitesh Sharma, while Abhishek Sharma and vice-captain Shubman Gill opened the batting.

With the ball, India’s attack was relentless. UAE started with a steady 26-run opening stand in 3.4 overs. But Jasprit Bumrah broke through with a stunning yorker to dismiss Alishan Sharafu for 22 off 17 balls. Their only other notable partnership was the 18-run stand between skipper Muhammad Waseem and wicketkeeper Rahul Chopra.

After that, the collapse was dramatic. From 47/2, UAE crumbled to 57 all out, losing eight wickets for just 10 runs. India’s spin-trio and all-rounders ran riot. Kuldeep Yadav starred with 4/7 in 2.1 overs. Shivam Dube produced a surprise impact with 3/4 in two overs. Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel picked up one wicket each.
