Pakistan has made their way to the finals now and will be facing India there. After they won the game against Bangladesh, they confirmed their place in the decider of the tournament. Although the win did not come as easily to them as they would have expected. Bangladesh had put up a great fight.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl again. They bowled beautifully and had put Pakistan in serious trouble as they removed both their openers cheaply. Soon enough, they were reduced to 49 for five, and Pakistan looked dead in the game.

However, important contributions from the lower middle order rescued the game for them as they managed to crawl to a total of 135 runs at the loss of eight wickets. Nawaz, Haris and Shaheen played superb knocks to help the team.

The opening pair did not last long as once again as Shaheen took a wicket in the first over of the game. As a result, they failed to make a stable partnership after that and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Several batters from the Bangladesh side got starts, but none of them were able to capitalise. Similar to the first innings, the lower middle did try to score some runs to rescue the team but Pakistan managed to chip in with wickets at regular intervals.

Getting the team close to the total, Bangladesh did manage to reach 124 runs at the loss of nine wickets, but were not left with any more balls to chase down further left-over runs. They lost the game by just 11 runs at the end. Shaheen Shah Afridi was adjudged Player of the Match with his contributions from the bat as well as the ball.
