India has registered yet another victory and has made their way into the finals now, being the first team in this Asia Cup to do so. What looked like a total that was below the expected mark of the Indian team, their bowling made it look like plenty of runs and won the match comfortably by 41 runs.
Bangladesh had won the toss earlier and chose to bowl. India started off slowly and cautiously in the first three overs, and suddenly the Indian opening pair exploded. The opening stand lasted for 77 runs in just six overs.
The middle order suffered a few setbacks as runs got slower and more difficult in the middle overs. Bangladesh managed to bowl tight lines and lengths, which restricted the run scoring and got them wickets too. As a result, the Indian team managed to give them a target of 169.
Let’s take a look at Bangladesh’s Chase
The opening pair did not last long as Bumrah got Tanzid out of the game in his first over itself. However, they had a good second-wicket partnership and were looking solid going forward. Saif Hassan played a superb knock of 69 runs off 51 balls.
With the introduction of spin, the scoring rate dipped, and they started losing wickets regularly. Only Saif and Parvez managed to have scores in double digits, with the rest of the team not being able to make any impact.
Kuldeep scalped three wickets yet again, and Bumrah and Varun got two wickets each. This broke the back of Bangladesh as they folded for just 127 runs and lost the game by 41 runs.
