Asia Cup 2025: Predicting UAE playing XI vs India, Match 2

The United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of Muhammad Waseem, is ready to participate in the Asia Cup 2025. This year’s Asia Cup is being organised in the T20 format, which allows the space and a better chance for teams like the UAE to bring major upsets to the tournament and surprise some teams with their game.

The tournament starts September 9 and will go all the way to September 28, when the final is scheduled to be played in Dubai. For the United Arab Emirates, the tournament begins on September 10, when they lock horns with the hot favourite of the tournament, India. The UAE has been drafted in Group A, where the other teams are India, Oman and Pakistan.

The UAE recently played a tri-series as preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup, and we can expect that their playing XI would remain the same as they played there. 

Captain Muhammad Waseem and Alishan Sharafu might continue with the opening role, as they did so in the tri-series. They make a good opening pair, where they make a mix of cautious and aggressive approaches to balance each other's games.

Muhammad Zohaib, Rahul Chopra and Asif Khan make the solid core of the middle order, which has been doing a pretty great job for the team, especially with Asif being in recent form. Rahul Chopra is the designated wicketkeeper of the team as well.

Harshit Kaushik and Muhammad Farooq handle the all-rounder responsibilities of the team, providing support with the bat in the middle order and some useful spin bowling on the dusty UAE pitches. 

Haider Ali and Simranjeet Singh are the two designated spinners of the team, and both of them offer slow left-arm orthodox bowling, while the pace department is being handled by Muhammad Rohid and Junaid Siddique. Rohid provides the left-arm option while Siddique provides the right-arm pace.
