Asia Cup 2025: Aakash Chopra predicts top run-scorer, wicket-taker and player of the tournament

Former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra has predicted his winner, runner-up, top run-scorer, wicket-taker, and player of the tournament for the forthcoming Asia Cup 2025 campaign, which is set to start on Tuesday, September 9.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman, and hosts UAE are the eight teams in the eight-team showpiece event this year. Defending champions India, their arch-rivals Pakistan, UAE, and Oman are part of Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong China are in Group B.

Team India will start their campaign against the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, September 10. Later, they will face off against the arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, September 14. Their last group stage will be against Oman on Friday, September 19.

Speaking exclusively on the CREX Community YouTube channel, Chopra revealed that India is set to emerge as the Asia Cup 2025 champions, with Afghanistan making it to the grand finale and emerging as the runners-up.

Moreover, Chopra predicted the Indian opening batter Abhishek Sharma to lead the run-scoring charts while the Indian in-form spinner Varun Chakravarthy is predicted to lead the wickets column. Moreover, he predicted the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya to emerge as the player of the tournament in the showpiece event.
