India and Pakistan are all set to lock horns with each other on the 28th of August at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both teams will be facing each other for the first time after their previous clash in the T20 World Cup 2021. The men in green defeated the Indians with a massive margin of 10 wickets.
They will be now eyeing to win the second consecutive match in a major international tournament against the Indians. So, Pakistan will be relying on many players to win their first match in the Asia Cup 2022. Considering the same equation, here we’ll have a look at three bowlers of Pakistan who might come up as the match winners for Pakistan.
Haris Rauf
One of the excellent findings of the Pakistan Super League and especially Lahore Qalandars. The guy from Rawalpindi has marked his presence in the T20 internationals in a handsome style. Haris Rauf made his first international appearance for Pakistan just two and a half years back. In the short span of time on the international circuit, he has stunned everyone with his amazing outings.
After playing in 35 T20 internationals, Rauf has scalped 42 wickets with one four-for to his name. He can play a vital role for the men in green during the Asia Cup 2022 in the absence of the ace speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi. The onus will be on the 28-year-old to lead the pace attack throughout the entire tournament.
Shahnawaz Dahani
The 24-year-old young pacer impressed everyone with his stellar outings in the 2022 edition of the Pakistan Super League. He has played only two matches for Pakistan in the international circuit. But apart from that, he has some handsome numbers to his name in the domestic T20Is with 48 wickets in the 31 T20 matches.
He will be one of the center faces in the Pakistani pace attack for the Asia Cup 2022. The team will rely on his experience of bowling in the domestic circuit. Dahani has all the capabilities to emerge as a match-winning bowler for the Pakistani team in this multi-team continental tournament.
Naseem Shah

The young talent has produced an immense contribution with his bowling in the longest format of the game and in the three ODI matches he played for Pakistan so far. The 19-year-old pacer has scalped 33 wickets in 20 innings of 13 Tests alongside 10 wickets in 3 ODIs with best figures of five wickets for 33 runs.
Notably, Naseem hasn’t played any T20I for Pakistan so far, but he had some brilliant outings in the PSL. So, the skipper and management can count on him to be the match winner for the team in the 15th edition of the Asia Cup.
