Bangladesh and India are locking horns in the second and last of the two-match Test series at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Bangla skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first against the KL Rahul-led Indian team. Batting first, the batting lineup of the hosts succumbed to the Indian bowling attack, especially the spin-pace duo of senior bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav.
Both the bowlers displayed brilliant bowling performances to bundle Bangladesh only on the score of 227 runs in the first innings of the match.
Indian fans were also overwhelmed after the outstanding performances from Ashwin and Umesh on the first day of the second Test. They took to Twitter to lavish their praises on the senior bowling duo of India.
Here’s how fans reacted:

He gets big fish here Mominul gone, this has been excellent period of play for India.

Good to see Ash is back in wicket columns with 3-fer here so far. #CricketTwitter #INDvBAN

The Bangladeshis fell to Umesh Yadav owing to their timid footwork. Didn't get forward on a low-bounce pitch. #BANvIND #BANvsIND #INDvsBAN #INDvBAN

Umesh yadav has been as important for India as has been siraj, shami or bumrah.

He has not played in high-profile tours overseas. That should not undermine his contribution.
In fact it should only enhance his reputation.#BANvsIND #INDvBAN #umeshyadav
An excellent bowling performance by Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav and Jaydev Unadkat help India to restrict Bangladesh on 227.#BanvsInd #BANvsIND #TeamIndia #Cricket #sports #CricketTwitter #CricketTwitter pic.twitter.com/r348FTV4Bw

Talking about Bangladesh's innings, number three batter Mominul Haque was the only batter who struggled a bit against the visitors’ bowling attack. He played a knock of 84 runs with 12 boundaries and a six to his name. Other than him, former skipper and senior batter Mushfiqur Rahim was the second leading run-scorer for the hosts in the first innings.
Ravichandran Ashwin scalped four wickets by conceding 71 runs in 21.5 overs alongside senior pacer Umesh Yadav who scalped the same number of wickets by conceding just 25 runs in 15 overs. Other than these two, Jaydev Unadkat also scalped two wickets in his comeback match after a long gap of 12 years since he made his debut for team India in the Centurion Test against South Africa in 2010.
Although the Indian team management is also on the receiving end of harsh criticism from the Indian cricket fans for omitting Kuldeep Yadav from the playing XI of the Mirpur Test against Shakib’s men.
Notably, the Indian team is leading the series by a margin of 1-0 after a win of 188 runs in the first Test of the series. Kuldeep Yadav won the ‘player of the match award for his match-defining performance in favor of India.
