As long as Mumbai Indians have Bumrah, they are unbeatable, claims Virender Sehwag

Defending champions Mumbai Indians scripted a stunning victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag seemed impressed with MI’s performance as he carried out a detailed analysis on what contributed to MI’s success in their last fixture.

Jasprit Bumrah again played a vital role in Mumbai’s success as he returned with magical figures of 1 for 14 in his four overs. Sehwag lavished praises on Jasprit Bumrah saying that he is a "Brahmastra" for the five-time champions and they will remain unbeatable as long as they have Bumrah on their side.

"He (Bumrah) is Mumbai Indians' "Brahmastra"; as long as they have the "Brahmastra", they are "Ajay" (unbeatable)", said Sehwag as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Further in the interaction, the former Indian opener reckoned that Mumbai Indians possess the ability to defend low totals and chasing high targets. They have the services of two all-rounder Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya who can contribute both with the bat and the ball to change the flow of the game.

"Hardik Pandya is good at bowling the slower balls. His pace has decreased due to back problems and doesn't bowl as fast as he used to but he's good at changing the pace of the ball. This is why we say Mumbai Indians are the best team of this tournament; that is because they can defend low totals and also chase down high targets. In the bowling department, they have Boult, Bumrah, Rahul Chahar and all three did their job very efficiently," explained Sehwag.

All the three bowlers including the likes of Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, and Bumrah were at their fluent best as Mumbai defended 150 runs. Trent Boult picked as many as three wickets in his four overs while Chahar also had three under his belt, bowling at an economy rate of 4.8.
