‘Arey maar peet nahi karni’ - Fans react to viral image of Sanju Samson having intense Gym sessions ahead of ODI and T20I series in West Indies

Sanju Samson is all set to make a comeback for Team India as he was named in both the ODI and T20I squad for the West Indies tour. India are currently busy playing the two-match Test series in the Caribbean. However, they won the first game and now, the second match is set to begin on 20 July 2023 in Port of Spain. Followed by that, the Men in Blue will play a three-match ODI and five-match T20I series.

Recently, the Indian Cricket Board also announced the squad for the upcoming Asian Games 2023. But, he did not get a place and hence, fans are also expecting that he could be on the radar for a place in the upcoming ODI World Cup squad. Now, ahead of both the West Indies series, Samson was seen having an intense gym session. Seeing that, fans shared their views on social media.

Sanju Samson last played for Team India in January 2023

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper last played for the Men in Blue in January 2023. After that, due to a knee injury, he got sidelined and after becoming fully fit, Samson was seen in the last edition of IPL for RR. However, it was not a good IPL for him both as a player and skipper. He scored just 362 runs in 14 games, at an average of 30.17 and a strike rate of 153.39, including three fifties. RR also failed to qualify for the qualifiers as they finished in the fifth spot with 14 points in 14 games.
