Reactions to his posts were divided, with some accusing him of weakening the resolve of the country. He clarified his position by going into detail on how peace and patriotism may coexist.
“This isn’t a call for weakness, but a reminder of wisdom… Patriotism and peace can walk hand in hand,” he further stated.
He earlier shared a prayer for those affected. “Prayers for peace and safety in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab… Hoping for strength, security, and swift resolution. Jai Hind!”
On Thursday, a blackout was enforced in several districts, including Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, and Mohali in Punjab, as well as in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, amid the escalating tensions.
Pakistan’s strikes marked a significant escalation, targeting Punjab, Rajasthan, and Jammu and Kashmir. India’s S-400 systems reportedly intercepted eight missiles and three fighter jets.
