Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) former chief Ramiz Raja took to YouTube to address the fans post getting sacked and eventually left no stone unturned to take a dig at the newly formed committee. Raja claimed that he was mistreated from the very next day he was sacked and claimed that around 17 people stormed into his office to throw him out.

Notably, the former chief of PCB has been receiving criticism for not taking effective decisions during his tenure even after he oust and Najam Sethi, the new chief of the board, said that the bad phase of the Pakistani team and people came to an end once Raja left the office. 

“The cricket regime headed by Ramiz Raja @iramizraja is no more. The 2014 PCB constitution stands restored. The Management Committee will work tirelessly to revive first class cricket. Thousands of cricketers will be employed again. The famine in cricket will come to an end,” Sethi tweeted on December 22. 

“Aisa inhone hamla kiya cricket board mein aake. Mera saman bhi nahi lene diya inlogo ne. Subah yeh 9 baje, 17 bande dhandate fir rahe they cricket board mein. Jaise ki koi FIA ka chapa par gaya." (They way they attacked the cricket board. They didn't even let me take my stuff. Early morning at 9 around 17 guys stormed at the office, which felt as if the Federal Investigation Agency of Pakistan has raided the office)” Raja was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.

While fans awaited clarification from the board, the COO of the PCB, Salman Naseer took to Twitter to issue a clarification on the same. Saying that the belongings were handed over to him as a formal procedure, Naseer said that the same would be returned to Raja with due procedure. 

Pakistan are facing New Zealand in the first Test that kicked off on December 26, Monday and there was the involvement of the newly appointed selection committee led by former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi in selecting the playing XI. Sarfaraz Ahmed, the veteran wicketkeeper was given a go-ahead and the batter scored 86 runs in the first innings, joining hands with Babar Azam to put on a 196-run partnership.
