Wahab Riaz is currently busy playing in PSL for Peshawar Zalmi. On 8 March 2023, his side took on Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League. It was the 25th match of the tournament that took place in Rawalpindi. Both teams were looking for a win to strengthen their position at the table.

However, Quetta Gladiators managed to chase down a mammoth target of 241 runs in the match. But, a video went viral from the clash where Wahab Riaz was seen giving a kiss to Martin Guptill after dismissing him. Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared some funny tweets in reply.

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the third over of Quetta Gladiators’ innings. The Kiwi batter, Martin Guptill was batting while Wahab Riaz was bowling. On the fifth delivery of that over, Guptill was looking for a short-arm jab pull over the midwicket against a length ball. But, he managed a top edge and Riaz completed the catch comfortably. But, after that, Riaz was seen kissing Guptill while he was going back to the dugout. Speaking about for, Wahab Riaz has taken eight wickets so far in the tournament. Speaking of the match, Peshawar Zalmi scored 240 runs for two wickets in 20 overs.

Skipper Babar Azam scored 115 runs off 65 balls, including 15 fours and three sixes. In reply, Martin Guptill and Jason Roy came out to open. Guptill scored 21 runs off eight balls, including three fours and one six. But, Roy scored 145* runs off 63 balls, including 20 fours and five sixes. Hence, they managed to chase down the mammoth target of 241 runs for two wickets in 18.2 overs. Wahab Riaz took just one wicket for 56 runs in four overs. Roy won the player of the match award for his devastating knock.
