India are in Bangladesh to face off in a three-match ODI series and the two teams faced off against each other in the first ODI on December 4, Sunday. As things stand, it was Litton Das who won the toss and forced India to bat first on a bowling-friendly pitch, putting the Men in Blue on the back foot right away. Much to the stupefaction of the Indian fans, the openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma got out for cheap scores.

To add more, while Dhawan got out for 7 runs, Rohit, the Indian skipper, made his way back to the dressing room after scoring only 27 runs. The Indian superstar Virat Kohli, who is in red-hot form, eventually managed to score only 9 runs off 15 balls and put team India in deep trouble. After being on the receiving end for all these times, it was KL Rahul who lifted team India from the labyrinth.

The right-handed batter scored 73 runs off 70 balls and helped India put on a decent total of 186 on the board at the end of the first innings. Although it was a low total, fans believed that the Indian pace attack had all it takes to win the match. Kuldeep Sen, the right-arm pacer, made his debut for the Men in Blue and proved his potential with the ball as he picked up two scalps to his name.
