The 16th edition of the Asia Cup will be the first time Nepal will take place in this tournament. They earned the qualification after winning the ACC Men's Premier Cup in Nepal in April-May. So, fans are eager to see how this side performs in their maiden Asia Cup campaign. They have announced a 17-member squad.

Among them, Pratish Gharti Chhetri (Pratish GC) is one of the players to look out for as he is a left-arm medium pacer. He has played three ODIs so far and taken two wickets, at an economy of 4.28. Now, as per a recent interview on News 24 Sports, he revealed that he is a big fan of Virat Kohli.

Pratish said was asked who would be his dream wicket as he would be bowling to both Virat Kohli and the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. Babar is the current number-one-ranked batter in the 50-over format. In reply to that, he took the name of Kohli and said: “It would be Virat Kohli. Even I have his poster in my room. So, he is my one of the favourite players and it would be Virat Kohli.”

Then, he was asked what traits have made him follow Virat Kohli and in reply to that, Pratish said: “Work ethics that he has. The way he has transformed himself and the way he has been performing at every level of the game. If you like in T20Is, One-Day, Tests every format of the game, he has been showing his great level of game in every aspect and his attitude on the ground as well. So, that makes me feel like motivated from him as well.” 

Nepal will begin their campaign on 30 August against Pakistan in Multan. They are in the group A alongside India and Pakistan. On 4 September, India will play against Nepal in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
