Akshay Kumar names his favourite cricketers and they're not Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni

Cricket and Bollywood are the two most followed sources of entertainment in India. There is a visible connection between the two domains. Often the Bollywood stars are seen cheering for team India during important matches. The cricketers are also huge admirers of Indian actors and often praise their movies on social media.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is a great follower of Indian cricket. The 'Khiladi of Bollywood' was recently asked about his favourite cricketers. Much to the surprise of many, the actor didn't name the likes of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, who enjoy a massive fan following. Speaking to Sports Tak, Akshay revealed that Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul are his favourite cricketers.

Akshay was also asked to name his favourite cricketer from the past to which the actor picked BS Chandrashekhar. Chandrashekhar was a member of the Indian cricket team for 16 years and played 58 Test matches, picking 242 wickets. In 2002, he was awarded the Wisden ‘Best Bowling of the Century’ title for his 6 - 38 against England in 1971.

KL Rahul will next be seen in the three match Test series against South Africa. Meanwhile, Dhawan has been sidelined for the tour. The southpaw has been out of favour since he led a second-string India team in Sri Lanka before the 20-20 World Cup. India have plenty of options in opening at the moment. While Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are going strong, the likes of Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devdutt Padikkal have made a strong case for themselves. The comeback for Shikhar Dhawan certainly won't be easy.
