Jasprit Bumrah is still recovering from the injuries that ruled him out of several major tournaments for team India in recent times. Earlier, there were reports that he might make a comeback in the last two matches of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. But, he again missed out on any squads. As of now, he has been out of any competitive cricket over the last five to six months.

Bumrah last played an international match in September 2022. Reports came out that the pacer played two practice games at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) recently. But, the NCA managers did not give him a green signal to get selected for team India. So, fans were expecting to see him in action in the Indian T20 League and World Test Championship final.

It will be a huge loss for the Mumbai franchise if Jasprit Bumrah misses the tournament in 2023  

Several reports also suggested that the team India management are not in a hurry to get him into the team. They will monitor his workload very closely as the Men in Blue need to see him fully fit for the WTC final and 50-over World Cup. After winning the home ODI series against the Kiwis, Rohit Sharma said that they don't want to take any risk with him.

He said: "About Bumrah, I'm not too sure at the moment, of course for the first two Test matches he's not going to be available. I'm expecting that; not expecting but hoping he plays the next two Test matches but again we don't want to take any risk with him. The back injuries are always critical. We have got lot of cricket coming up after that as well, we will see, and we will monitor. We are in constant touch with doctors and physios at NCA and we are constantly hearing from them."

Now, according to the reports of Cricbuzz, the star pacer might miss the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League for Mumbai and the World Test Championship final also if India manage to get qualified for the finals. After hearing such news, both team India and Mumbai franchise’s fans went crazy and shared their views on the social media platform.
