MS Dhoni is currently getting prepared for the upcoming Indian T20 League in 2023 for the Chennai franchise. Since the inception of this rich-vein league, he has been a pivotal part of the franchise despite playing for the Pune franchise for two years in between. MS Dhoni has played for Chennai and Pune franchises in the Indian T20 League
Now, a video has gone viral where MS Dhoni was seen in Chennai kit as he is busy doing an advertisement for Jio Cinema. All Indian T20 League matches will be seen in Jio Cinema this time around. But, in that ad, fans noticed that Dhoni was batting while scoring 40* runs off 30 balls against the Kolkata franchise. Seeing that, some fans came up and trolled the former India skipper heavily for batting slowly even in the advertisement. For several years now, some fans have criticized Dhoni for a lower strike rate.
Meanwhile, the former Australia cricketer Matthew Hayden is currently in India to work as a commentator in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. While speaking to Star Sports, Hayden said: "See Chennai, they notoriously find a way to do things unique and special. Take their hiatus out of their Indian T20 League, it was unfortunate the two years they weren't playing, and they came back the year after that to win the Indian T20 League, it was most unexpected. And they have a way! MS Dhoni has a way of revitalizing, revamping, making it just a completely different look and feel to the side, even though it's had this great tag of having complete trust in few players and having retained most of their players.”
