The Asia Cup 2023 jeopardy is still going on as fans are still unaware whether the tournament is going to happen or not. As per last updated reports, Pakistan approached a hybrid model to the Indian Cricket Board which will let India play their matches in a neutral country. While other matches will take place in Pakistan as per schedule.

But, some reports have also come up that India will not accept that. So, there is a danger of the upcoming Asia Cup edition getting cancelled. However, recently, the PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi gave an interview to Sydney Morning Herald and there he opened up about the possibility of having a Test series between India and Pakistan.

He said: “Yes, I think bilateral Test matches can be played in Australia, England, or South Africa. But I think the best bet would be England, and following that Australia. If you can get a house full in any of the Australian stadiums, fine, that would be great.” Listening that, well-known Pakistani journalist, Farid Khan shared the news on Twitter. But, later as quoted by ANI, a close source to the Indian Cricket Board said: “No plans for such kind of series to happen in the future or upcoming days. We aren’t ready for any kind of bilateral series with Pakistan.”

After such a report, Farid Khan shared an emotional video message for the secretary of the Indian Cricket Board, Jay Shah. He was seen requesting Shah for letting the Men in Blue play a Test series against the Men in Green.  That has now gone viral and seeing that fans have slammed him on social media. India and Pakistan have not played any bilateral series since 2013. Speaking about Test cricket, they have not played a match in the longest format of the game against each other since December 2007.
