Players from associate nations are rubbing shoulders with international stalwarts like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Liam Livingstone, Mujeeb- Ur Rahman among others. In this year’s edition of the T10 league, some of the seasoned campaigners like Faf du Plessis and Yusuf Pathan will be in action.

Meanwhile, here are a few players who can make big impact in the current season of the T10 league.

Faf du Plessis

Former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis will be seen making his debut in the T10 league this season for Bangla Tigers. Du Plessis has also been named the skipper of the franchise. The right-hand batter is in a rich vein of form and is coming off from a good season of the recently completed Indian Premier League. The South African batter scored 633 runs in 16 matches and helped CSK win the fourth title. It won’t be wrong to say that Du Plessis is ageing like a fine wine.

Yusuf Pathan

Former India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan will be seen in the T10 league playing for Chennai Braves. Yusuf comes with a reputation of giving the ball a real whack. In a 10 overs format, where big hits and striking sixes is a template, the power hitter is a good fit for the Braves this season. He can be used as the finisher or a floater in the team. Yusuf can also chip in with a few overs of spin on slow and low UAE surfaces.

Dwayne Bravo

Talismanic West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo comes with a plethora of experience under his belt. He is also the skipper of the Delhi Bulls team. Although he was not seen in his best elements in the IPL and 20-20 World Cup, the all-rounder’s match-winning ability is second to none. It is his bowling in the death overs that has improved by leaps and bounds in the past five years. Often he has been used as a death overs specialist in the team. This year, the Bulls have a good bunch of experienced and exciting youngsters in the team. Bulls are also one of the favourites to win the title.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman

The mystery spinner from Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman has managed to trouble the best batters with his smart variations and impeccable accuracy. Also, by playing in IPL and BBL, Mujeeb knows a thing or two about handling pressure situations. With an economy rate of lesser than six runs per over, the Afghanistan spinner can prove deadly for the opposition teams. It will also be interesting to see how captain Du Plessis uses him in the 10 overs format.

Mark Watt

Scotland off-spinner Mark Watt is one exciting and promising player to watch out in the T10 league. He was one of the pivotal players for Scotland in the 20-20 World Cup. Watt provides the captain a genuine wicket-taking option. He is also a handy batter lower down the order. Northern Warriors can use him as a pinch hitter or use him lower down the order to lend finishing touches.
