Launched and owned by T Ten Sports Management, the Abu Dhabi T10 league came into being in 2017. The league was officially sanctioned by the cricket’s governing council in the year 2018. Over the years, the tournament has enthralled the audience with the fast-paced action of the Ten-over cricket.
The league has seen five seasons so far with the top international players featuring in all sides of the tournament. The crowd has witnessed many marvelous performances by their favourite cricketing players in the star-studded tournament.
Speaking of the previous editions of the tournament, the now-defunct Kerala Kings won the inaugural edition in 2017 by defeating another now-defunct side Punjabi Legends by eight wickets in the summit clash. The following season saw the Northern Warriors getting the glory. Maratha Arabians, another terminated side, lifted the title in the 2019 season.
The previous edition of the competition, which happened in 2020, witnessed Northern Warriors becoming the first side to lift the Abu Dhabi T10 League title twice. The Warriors even entered the 2021-22 season as reigning champions but couldn’t reclaim their throne and got knocked out in the league stage. Meanwhile, Deccan Gladiators are the latest entrants in the elite list.
