Abu Dhabi T10: Deccan Gladiators crush Delhi Bulls by 56 runs to win maiden title

Deccan Gladiators defeated Delhi Bulls to win the fifth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Carrying on their phenomenal run with the bat, Gladiators posted a mammoth 159-0 in their 10 overs. Tom Kohler-Cadmore has been magnificent throughout the tournament and once again lived up to the expectations by scoring a 28 ball 59. However, the star for Gladiators was West Indies stalwart Andre Russell. Having been promoted to open, Russell tore apart the Bulls bowling and smashed a breathtaking 90 off 32 balls. His knock included 9 fours and 7 sixes.

The target was a humongous one and Bulls needed something extraordinary to emerge victorious. Bulls' batting had fallen apart in the last few games but they had the players who could have pulled this off. Rahmanullah Gurbaz gave them a good start and scored 42 off 20 balls. However, none of the following batters could capitalize on the start. In the end, the Bulls could only manage 103-7 in their quota of overs.

Earlier in the day, the third-place match between Abu Dhabi and Bangla Tigers ended in a tie. It was a low scoring game and bowlers from both teams dominated the proceedings. Team Abu Dhabi endured yet another batting failure and could only manage 96 runs in their overs. However, the bowlers were up to the task and didn't let Bangla Tigers run away with the game. Tigers needed just 6 runs to win in the final over but Naveen ul Haq bowled a magnificent last over and restricted them on par with Team Abu Dhabi total.
