Carrying on their winning run, Bangla Tigers defeated Deccan Gladiators by 9 wickets. This was Tigers third consecutive win. Chasing a target of 117, Hazratullah Zazai and Johnson Charles gave the team a blazing start. While Charles was dismissed for 10 ball 22, Zazai continued to pile on the misery for Gladiators. The Afghan batter remained not out on 59 off 26 balls. Will Jacks also played a decent hand and scored 13 balls 28.
Earlier, Deccan Gladiators managed to post 116-5 in their quota of overs. None of the batters from the top order could score anything substantial Tom Banton got 30 but took 18 balls for the same. It was only because of the efforts of David Weise and Odean Smith, who scored 25 of 14 and 26 of 8 respectively that the Bangla Tigers were able to reach a respectable total.
In the second game, Delhi Bulls defeated Northern Warriors. Rovman Powell carried on his stellar form for Northern Warriors and helped them post a decent 128-6 in 10 overs. However, the Bulls came out all guns blazing and made a mockery of the target, Rahman Ullah Gurbaz scored 70 off 32 balls to set up the chase. Luke Wright also made a handy contribution of 40 off 18 balls.
