Day 8 of the Abu Dhabi T10 League delivered two spectacular contests. They were not particularly high scoring games but were worth watching. In the first game, Bangla Tigers handed team Abu Dhabi their first loss of the tournament.

Batting first, the Tigers posted a decent 130 on the board. Hazratullah Zazai and Will Jacks continued their decent run and scored 41 off 20 and 43 off 17 respectively. Faf Du Plessis also made an 8 ball 22. However, 130 has been a par score in the tournament and given the quality in the Abu Dhabi team, the chase was on.

Team Abu Dhabi though did not look in their elements and barring Chris Gayle, who scored 51 off 23 balls, there were no significant contributions. Phil Salt played a cameo of 17 but Abu Dhabi fell short by 10 runs.

In the second game, Chennai Braves and Deccan Gladiators were involved in a low scoring game. Gladiators blew Braves away and bowled them out for 57. The game looked done and dusted but the Braves' bowlers put on a spirited performance and brought the team back in the game. At 20-4, the game looked evenly poised.

However, Gladiators were chasing a target with less than 6 runs per over and got some time to recover. A 19 by Tom Banton and 20 by David Weise was enough for them to win the game by 5 wickets.
