India are currently the no. 1 team in the shortest format and will be touring Ireland for the T20I series. However, many fans and cricket experts have not liked this schedule of the Indian cricket team. Considering the upcoming ODI World Cup, many fans have said that the team should focus on the 50-over format more. Although, the Indian team will also play in the Asia Cup which will be played in the ODI format this time and will be hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Young Talents to get maiden international call

However, it won’t be a big trouble for the management as they might select some new and young players to play in the T20I series while the senior players are expected to be rested. Players like Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma and many more are likely to get their maiden international call in the shortest format after their exceptional performance in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
