The Indian Cricket Board had give the Constitution Club of India a lumpsum of 2.25 crores to use to fund gym equipment.

As per the minutes of an Apex Council meeting which took place on December 21 2022. Jay Shah took up the request of the Constitution Club of India (CCI) for funds and the same was communicated to the members. Later, there were some talks between the two parties about the final amount of funds and its dismemberment, a lump sum of 2.25 Crores was directly given to CCI for getting some gym equipment.

The negotiation took place based on the availability of documents and the cost. The final quote which was given to the India Cricket Board was 2.27 crores to which 2.25 crores was given to purchasing some gym equipment. "As per the minutes of an Apex Council meeting that took place on December 21, 2022, Item No 9 mentions: "Mr Jay Shah (Indian Cricket Board secretary) apprised the members that the Constitution Club Of India (CCI) have requested for funds from the Indian Cricket Board for the procurement of gym equipment. Quoted as saying by My Khel.

The minutes further elaborated that the members took precedence to the request and gave the go-ahead to a lumpsum donation to the CCI for the purchase of gym equipment which was documented on the Indian Cricket Board's website. "The members took note of the update and approved the lump sum donation of Rs 2.25 crores to CCI directly towards the purchase of gym equipment." The India Cricket Board website states.

The CCI is a club which was initiated for members of the Indian Constituent Assembly. At present, the Constitution Club serves as a platform for interaction among the past and present Members of Parliament. The club is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. The club was formally inaugurated by former President  Shri Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan on whose birthday Teachers Day is celebrated.

After India's Independence, the Club has been a platform for exhibitions, important meetings, events, press conferences, elite parties and social hangouts between the present and former Members of Parliament. It has facilities like Gym, Swimming Pool and a Billiards Room.
