Team India are currently engaged in their multi-format tour of the West Indies. They have already kicked the tour off in great style as they beat the hosts in the first Test at Dominica by a margin of an innings and 141 runs. The second Test is scheduled to start on Thursday, July 20 at the Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad. Notably, this game will also mark the 500th international game for Virat Kohli. He is set to become the fourth Indian after Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and MS Dhoni to reach this significant milestone.

Virat Kohli played well for his 76-run knock in the first Test but Yashasvi Jaiswal with 171 off 387 on debut remained the star of the game. As such, Virat Kohli would be eyeing his 30th Test ton as he takes the pitch in his 500th International game. Kohli was seen practicing his skills with the willow with skipper Rohit Sharma ahead of the second Test in Trinidad as the two exchanged tips with each other.

Virat Kohli met with Brian Lara in Trinidad

Earlier, Virat Kohli was greeted by Brian Lara upon his arrival in Trinidad. Lara was on a phone call as Virat Kohli walked by him. The West Indian legend ignored his phone call and extended his hand towards Kohli to greet him. The two embraced and had a quick catch-up chat as Lara held the phone over his left ear. After a few more thumbs up gesture, Kohli went on his way towards the pavilion and Lara jumped back on his phone call. The video shared by the Indian Cricket Board on Twitter has garnered a lot of interest.
