The 2017 ICC Champions Trophy was held in England and Wales from June 01, 2017 to June 18, 2017. Eight teams were divided into two groups, with each team playing three matches each. The top two teams from each group played in the semis, and the winners played in the final.

Another match involving Australia with Bangladesh was washed away, leaving fans disappointed. England faced New Zealand on June 06, where England set the target of 310 runs in front of the Kiwis. The English team bowled out New Zealand for 223, and won the match by 87 runs.
Pakistan made a stunning comeback on June 07, defeating South Africa in a thrilling rain-affected match by 19 runs (DLS method). Meanwhile on June 08, Sri Lanka pulled off a chase of 332 runs against India, grabbing the match by seven wickets.
Bangladesh made a comeback by defeating New Zealand by 5 wickets, keeping their semi-final hopes alive. While England sealed their semis spot on June 10 with a 40 runs win over Australia, knocking them out of the tournament. India dominated South Africa on June 11, winning by 8 wickets and booking their semi-final spot. Not very far behind, Pakistan also secured their semi-final spot by beating Sri Lanka in a thriller match on June 03.
Pakistan shocked England in the first semi-final on June 14, and restricted them to 211 runs, and then easily chased the target with 8 wickets left. India thrashed Bangladesh in the second semi-final match on June 15, winning the game by 9 wickets. Pakistan defeated India in the final of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, and took the trophy home.
