Preview

West Indies and Sri Lanka will be up against each other in match 35 of the 20-20 World Cup. The latter is out of the race for the semis, while the former are hanging by a thread. Big wins are the need of the hour for the two-time defending champions West Indies if they want to progress through to the semis.

The Keiron Pollard-led team are in a messy situation owing to their two huge losses against England and South Africa. The team won a tight contest against Bangladesh but their net run rate took a beating. The Caribbean team now has two games left against Sri Lanka and Australia and they need to win both by big margins to have any hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Sri Lanka are out of the rat race after losing three of the four games. Barring Wanindu Hasranga none of the other players have been able to show consistency.
