India put on a clinical display against Scotland in a must win encounter and romped home by eight wickets, with whopping 81 balls to spare. This thumping win has also boosted India's run rate to +1.169, the best in the group, and has kept them in the hunt for the semifinals. The chief architects of India’s victory were Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, and KL Rahul.

The Virat Kohli-led side broke several records during their juggernaut. Shami and Jadeja did bulk of the damage with the ball by picking up six wickets between them as Scotland were bundled out for just 85. Later, Kl Rahul displayed his hitting prowess by scoring India’s second-fastest 50 in the 20-20 World Cup off just 18 balls and finished the match in 6.3 overs.

Not only on the field, India players managed to win hearts off the field as well. After the match, skipper Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravi Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah visited Scotland's dressing room. The players interacted with the Scottish team and shared their experiences. Cricket Scotland shared a few pictures on their official Twitter account. It also gave a fitting caption to the post, ‘Priceless’.

In another post, Cricket Scotland shared a funny said of things and offered India to play a series against Scotland in April.

Scotland skipper Kyle Coetzer was effusive in praise of team India’s clinical display and said Scotland need to learn from the experience of playing against a quality side like India.

“The experience is everything for our group of players and organization. Today’s result didn’t go the way we wanted. It’s very important for our guys to experience that and see the high class that was on show today from the Indian team. That was some high-class execution from India today."

India currently have four points and needs to win another match against Namibia on Monday (November 8). A win does not solve the purpose as the team also requires Afghanistan to beat New Zealand in their final game.
