Pakistan and Australia are set to lock horns in the semifinal two of the 20-20 World Cup. The last time these two teams met in the semis  was in the 2010 edition, where Michael Hussey’s heist powered Australia to a famous victory.

Pakistan have been on a juggernaut in the 20-20 World Cup so far. They have won all their games and are the only undefeated team in the competition. Different players have stepped up to the team’s cause which is refreshing to see. In the five games the Babar Azam-led team has won, five different players have managed to win the 'Player of the Match' award.

The batting has looked good with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan giving solid starts upfront, while the likes of Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik have come in and finished the inning on a high. The team though will be sweating over the fitness of Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik, who are down with flu.

Not too long ago, only a few experts gave the Aaron Finch-led side a chance to make the semis. Australia though are known to step up in big events and the team have delivered on the promise yet again. Australia’s bowling has been good with Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, and Adam Zampa delivering the goods.

The batting also looks decent with David Warner returning to form. Mitchell Marsh has lent solidarity in the middle order. The team though will need runs from Steve Smith and skipper Aaron Finch.

Pitch Conditions

The match is going to be played at the Dubai International Stadium. The pitch has become easier for batting as the tournament has progressed. Considering the dew, anything under 180 will be hard to defend.
