India put a dominating performance against Afghanistan and registered a 66-run win to just about stay alive in the tournament. The team finally gave their passionate audience a reason to cheer for. The batting and bowling clicked in unison as openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul set things up nicely by putting on a 140-run stand, setting up the platform for a mammoth total. Later, the bowlers led by Mohammed Shami and Ravi Ashwin restricted the opposition to just 144.

Next, the side will be up against Scotland. A big win for the Men in Blue will keep them alive but Scotland are no pushovers as they showed enough fight against New Zealand. Chasing a mammoth target of 173, the Scotland batters were in the hunt right till the end, only to collapse in the latter stages of the run-chase.

Pitch Conditions

The match is going to be played at Dubai International Stadium. It will be a day-night game and needless to say, chasing has been the way forward so far. The average first innings total on this ground is 150.

Weather Report

There is no respite from the hot and humid conditions in the UAE and Friday (November 5) will be no different with the predicted temperature to be around 32 degrees.
