In a delightful piece of news for Indian cricket fans, the leading multiplex chain of India, INOX has announced that they will provide a live telecast of all the matches of the Indian team in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. INOX has signed a deal with cricket’s governing body regarding the same.

One of the leading multiplex chains in the country is all set to live screen all the matches of men in blue starting with the first encounter against arch-rivals Pakistan on the 23rd of October next week. Notably, they will also provide the live broadcast of the semi-final and final matches as per the agreement.

"By screening cricket in cinemas, we are bringing together the thrill of the giant screen experience and thunderous sound with the most loved sport in our country, that is cricket. The excitement and emotions of the World Cup would add to this combination, resulting in a virtual treat for cricket lovers,” said Anand Vishal, COO of INOX Leisure.

The eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup will feature 12 international teams across the cricketing fraternity competing for the coveted title. The tournament will kick off on the 16th of October later this week followed by the final which will be played on the 13th of November next month in Melbourne.

Speaking of the INOX, then they are active in 74 Indian cities with 165 multiplexes under their banner. It includes a total of 705 screens having a total seating capacity of 1.57 lakh across the diameter of the country.

Coming back to the 20-20 World Cup, all participating teams have announced their squads for the tournament including India. Rohit Sharma’s men have already arrived in Australia and played one warm-up against Western Australia XI ahead of the main round of the tournament. In a major blow for the camp, senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the marquee event due to an injury in the back.
