Team India are gearing up for a clean sweep over the West Indies in the ongoing two-match Test series against them. After winning the first Test convincingly, they will take on the Caribbean in the second Test on 20 July 2023. However, Ishan Kishan made his Test debut in the first game. It turned out to be an early birthday present for the youngster Ishan celebrated his 25th birthday on 18 July.

So, ahead of the upcoming clash, a video has gone viral where skipper Rohit Sharma was seen talking to reporters and was asked about Ishan’s birthday gift. Rohit also claimed that he should give them a birthday gift by scoring 100 runs. Listening to such a cheeky response, all reporters and Ishan himself burst into laughter and fans also shared their views on social media.

In reply to the reporters, Rohit said: "What birthday gift he wants? Kya chahiye bhai tereko?' (What do you want brother?) You have everything. We should ask the team about this. It should be the team's contribution. Birthday gift tu hum logo ko dey bhai 100 - run karkey (You should give us a birthday gift by scoring 100 runs).” Ishan Kishan was a part of Team India’s squad in the recent World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. 

But, he did not play the match as KS Bharat got the nod ahead of him in the playing XI. Then, in the first match of this ongoing series, he finally made his debut for Team India in the red ball format. However, he did not get much opportunity to bat as he scored just unbeaten one run off 20 balls. Ishan got involved in two dismissals as the wicketkeeper as he grabbed two catches in the match. Apart from these cheeky responses, Rohit Sharma also shared that all players understand the importance of this upcoming Test match.
