As many as 1097 players will be up for selection in the Indian Premier League auction that gets underway at 3 PM IST on 18th February. Players from 15 countries have registered for the auction but only 61 spots are up for the grab. A total of 283 foreign players will available for selection and only 22 among them can be selected.

Maximum 56 players have registered from West Indies while 42 Australian cricketers will be up for the grab. Players for Nepal, UAE and several associate nations have also registered for the auction but the number of spots are so less that their selection looks highly unlikely. All eyes will be on players like Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch and Steve Smith who’re released by their franchises earlier this month.

The country wise list of the registered foreign players is given below.
