Here, we focus mainly on the money he generates from the contract with the BCCI and his IPL fees.

Kohli finds himself in Grade A+, only one of the four players in the list of BCCI Central Contract list while the other three are Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. He earns a whopping Rs 7 crores from his contract in addition to match fees of Rs 15 lakhs for every Test Match and Rs 6 lakhs for every One Day Internationals match he plays.

With the BCCI announcing that every player who plays for a minimum of 70% of Test Matches of the year that India has been scheduled to play, this amount of Rs 15 lakhs per game transforms into Rs 45 lakhs per game, which can very well be the possibility for him.

Even after being in the later end of his career, he was retained for a whopping Rs 21 crores, the joint-second highest in the history of the tournament only behind Heinrich Klaasen who has been retained for a record Rs 23 crores.

When combined with earnings from the BCCI contract and the IPL salary, he is going to receive a total of Rs 30 crores, clearly making him one of the highest-earning cricketers in the world.
