Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant had a tough outing with the bat as he had to endure multiple hits on his body while batting during the fifth Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test between India and Australia at the SCG. He was also hit on the grill of his helmet by a delivery from Mitchell Starc which read 145 kmph according to the speedometer.
The pace from Starc was too much for Pant to deal with as he couldn't get away from the delivery nor could he play the shot as the ball hit flush on his helmet grill.
Starc rushed towards the batter to check whether he was doing okay and had his hand on Pant's shoulder. The physio came out to check the batter meanwhile.
Here's the video where Pant is seen getting hit on his bicep and torso muscle as well:

Rishabh Pant wasn't quite ready to play his shots against the Aussie quicks like Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc and also has been troubled by the line in the recent past.
Rishabh Pant had to end his innings on 40
A short ball proved to be the undoing of Rishabh Pant as he departed trying to fend away a short delivery from Scott Boland over mid-wicket.
He could only scoop it towards Pat Cummins who completed a simple catch. Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah opted to bat first after winning the toss but the conditions have been conducive to seam bowling.
At the time of writing, India got bowled out for 185 runs in 72.2 overs with captain Jasprit Bumrah being the last man to leave the crease.
Bumrah had produced a legendary spell in Perth when India were bowled out for 150 and they needed their captain to produce something sensational once again as they had failed to bat big in their first innings.
