The Champions Trophy is all set to make its grand return after a massive gap of eight years. The Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to take place from Wednesday, February 19. The first match of the marquee event will witness Pakistan taking on New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi.

A total of eight teams will participate in the Champions Trophy 2025. The teams that finished in the top eight in the ODI World Cup 2023 have qualified for the Champions Trophy 2025. These eight teams are divided into two groups. Group A features India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. The remaining four teams, Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan, are in Group B.
Each team will face the other three teams in their group once. The top two teams from both groups will qualify for the semi-finals. The two winners will lock horns in the final, scheduled to be played on Sunday, March 9. A total of 15 matches are scheduled to be played in the tournament.
The three venues selected to host these matches in Pakistan are National Stadium in Karachi, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. All three venues will host three group-stage games each.
Where will India play their matches in the Champions Trophy 2025?
India would not travel to Pakistan to play their league matches of the Champions Trophy. The runner-up from the last edition of the Champions Trophy will start their campaign against Bangladesh. All of India’s three group matches would be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
India will face Pakistan in their second game on Sunday, February 23. India’s third and final group-stage match is against New Zealand and will be played on Sunday, March 2.
The first semi-final of the tournament is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, March 4, in Dubai. The second semi-final will be played in Lahore on Wednesday, March 5. The final is scheduled to be played on Sunday, March 9, in Lahore. If India qualifies for the final, then the final will be played in Dubai.
