‘I just want to win this fight’ - Adriano Moraes ahead of his fight with Demetrious Johnson at ONE Fight Night 10

Adriano Moraes is getting ready to face Demetrious Johnson for the third and final time. On 5 May 2023, the fight will take place live in front of a sold-out crowd at 1st Bank Center in Colorado. Moraes is the former flyweight king while Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is the current titleholder.

This fight is going to be the biggest World Championship fight in ONE history. Now, ahead of the fight, Adriano Moraes opened up about his epic trilogy with Demetrious Johnson. In the last two fights, both of them won each time. So, an enthralling battle awaits them and their fans at ONE Fight Night 10.

“First of all I never imagined that I would be fighting Demetrious Johnson one day.” - Adriano Moraes 

While talking with MMA Underground, Moraes said: “First of all I never imagined that I would be fighting Demetrious Johnson one day. So far now I just have a few days to make our third dance. Man, this is like unbelievable, and brother I just want to win this fight, make my career, do it again, and make my family proud, my family happy, and my teammates are getting crazy for this big event.”

Regarding this upcoming fight, the undefeated heavyweight MMA contender, Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida opened up to ONEFC.com. He said: “I think the third one will seal the deal. They’re at one each, so one victory, one knockout for each side. I think, of course, that’s not how Moraes planned this to happen, but at the end of the day, it puts more spice on the fight.”   

Regarding Moraes' mentality ahead of this big clash, he said: “I could see that during training his mindset changed completely. His technique . He’s like a completely new fighter, and I can’t wait for May 5. It’s going to be amazing. I really can’t wait to be there, the first American soil, so it’s going to be a huge one.”
