Batting first, the Green Brigade started with nine runs in the first over. Their batting had a horror show even against the likes of Hong Kong and continued in their semis game against Afghanistan. Not to forget, the stadium has the shortest square boundaries across the globe. They might beat the old ground of Christchurch, New Zealand.ย

Meanwhile, in the next over, Mirza Baig played four dots first up and ended the over with two boundaries. He picked the scoring pace in the next over as he hit two fours and a six. As Baig didn't get much support from Khsuhdil Shah (13), the team ended with 48/1 on the board at the end of the innings. Rakibul Hasan was the only wicket-taker of the Tigers.ย

Coming off an absolute hammering against India in their semifinal game, the Green Brigade, BAN needed to chase 65 runs due to the Duckworth-Lewis Stern Method (DLS) coming into play. Meanwhile, the team had a poor start as they lost two back-to-back wickets for no runs against Arshad Iqbal. However, in the next few overs, the team kept themselves in the game with a few boundaries.

In the second over by Arafat Minhas, the Tigers got four boundaries, including one on a no-ball and one due to a bye. Iqbal tried his best with another wicket in the fourth over. In the last over, the team needed 20 runs. Sufiyaan Muqeem, the left-arm wrist spinner failed to defend those runs and the Tigers bagged a bronze. On the other hand, the Shaheens went home empty-handed.
