The 16th edition of the Asia Cup is all set to begin on 30 August. Sri Lanka are the defending champions of this tournament while India will look to win it as it can work as a major boost for them ahead of the ODI World Cup. Pakistan will also look to win this title for the third time in their history. However, there are some records that the Men in Blue have held over the years in this tournament.
India’s Dominance: Top 5 Records in Asia Cup History:
Most wins in T20 Format

India showed their class in the 2016 Asia Cup when the tournament was played in the 20-20 format. Then captain MS Dhoni and his men won all five matches and won the tournament as unbeaten. In the 2022 edition, the tournament was played again in the shortest format but this time, India failed to qualify for the final. They suffered losses against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the ‘Super 4’ stage. But, still, the Men in Blue have eight wins out of 10 matches in those two editions and that is more than any other side.
