Virat Kohli was in action on 11 September 2023 against Pakistan in the ‘Super 4’ clash of the ongoing Asia Cup. It was the reserve day for that clash as the game was called off after 24.1 overs on 10 September due to rain. After some delay due to rain, the game finally began as Kohli and KL Rahul came out to bat. Kohli was not out on eight runs while Rahul was not out on 17 runs. India began the day with 147 runs on the board with eight wickets in hand.
So, all eyes were on them and they did not disappoint. Kohli and Rahul both scored centuries as India scored 356 runs for two wickets in 50 overs. The former Team India skipper scored 122* runs off 94 balls and after that, his wife and the Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma came up with an Instagram story to congratulate him. She wrote: “Super knock, super guy.” Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media.

Virat Kohli hit nine fours and three sixes in his innings
Speaking of the match, Virat Kohli notched up his 77th international ton off 84 balls. At the beginning of the play, he played the second fiddle role as KL Rahul was smashing Pakistan bowlers all around the park. Both of them put up an unbeaten partnership of 233* runs for the third wicket. KL Rahul also scored 111* runs off 106 balls while Kohli scored 122* runs, including nine fours and three sixes.
He also became the fastest batter in terms of innings (267) to cross the 13000-run mark in ODIs. He surpassed the former Team India great Sachin Tendulkar (321 innings). In ODIs, it was his 47th ton and seeing him breaking such records, fans also went crazy. However, both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill also hit fifties as they put up a 121-run opening partnership in 16.4 overs. Thus, India scored their highest-ever total against Pakistan in a One-Day International.
