The countdown to WrestleMania 39 is nearing its conclusion, as anticipation for the WWE's greatest event of the year is almost at its pinnacle. Nine huge fights are already scheduled for the two-night show, and a few more will be added before April 1. As incumbents look to solidify their edifices, emerging stars hope to reach the summit, and legendary figures want to show they still "have it," as they say in the business.

Some of these superstars need victory more than others as they stake their claims to yet another moment of greatness. These stars cannot afford to lose to produce new stars. Hence their opponents may finish the job.

Here are five superstars who cannot be seen winning at the headline event.

5. The Usos

For more than 600 days, The Usos have held the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. In the years after they defeated The Mysterios at Money In The Bank 2021, Jimmy and Jey have continuously improved. In May 2022, they defeated RK-Bro to win the RAW Tag Team Championships and establish themselves as the undisputed champions. Since then, the brothers' work on The Bloodline has kept the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats.

The Usos must lose at WrestleMania 39 because of the Bloodline plot. Sami Zayn is overdue for a victory over his former stable because he tore enormous gaps in the alliance and lost to Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber. It's almost clear that the former Honorary Uce will exact retribution by unseating The Usos in Hollywood alongside his real-life closest friend, even though the match hasn't been made official yet.

4. Logan Paul

Logan Paul has completely dominated WWE. It has only taken the divisive social media megastar four matches since making WrestleMania 38 debut to gain the admiration of the famously unforgiving internet following. Particularly during his matches with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel and his comeback at Royal Rumble 2023, he made everyone sit up and take notice of his innate flair and incredible agility.

Considering that, The Maverick should find it difficult to defeat Seth Rollins. The Visionary, who has beaten everyone from Chad Gable to Brock Lesnar, is undoubtedly the biggest star of his generation. Outside of his great pedigree, Rollins is anticipated to be in the running for the World Title following the Show of Shows. Thus, losing against a relative newcomer will not be in his favour.

3. Omos

A younger, up-and-coming talent typically "goes over" or wins when facing a WWE legend at WrestleMania. Their promotion announces on the grandest platform that a new star has emerged and is prepared to replace the titans of the past in the promotion. Nonetheless, there are situations when the younger fighter benefits from sharing the ring with an icon and does not require a victory.

That certainly seems to be the case with Omos, who will face Brock Lesnar, The Beast Incarnate, widely regarded as the most dominant superstar in WWE history. Recently, Lesnar has struggled, so he needs a satisfying victory. His creative vision won't suffer if he loses against The Beast, but Omos will face The Beast in possibly the biggest match of his career. He is unlikely to pull off the surprise.

2. Charlotte Flair

The most decorated superstar in the WWE Women's division's history is Charlotte Flair. She has won 14 World Championships, two more than Trish Stratus. At this point in her career, Flair may be called a "walking main event" because she has accomplished everything.

Rhea Ripley, meantime, is attempting to make a steady ascension to the top of the category while riding a high wave of momentum. Having already fallen to The Queen at WrestleMania, another defeat would be disastrous for her professional future. And to top it all off, Flair has no new contenders if she wins because she has already faced everyone on the SmackDown roster.

1. Austin Theory

Possibly the greatest WWE Superstar of all time is John Cena. The Nation Leader has an impressive resume that is as long as the day, including legendary records, victories, moments, and accomplishments. There isn't much else for him to accomplish in the business save retiring in a way that honours his enormous legacy and being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

On the other hand, Austin Theory is just getting started and still has a tonne of potential to realise. The Eternal Champ has had difficulty making a name for himself as the successor to John Cena, Roman Reigns, and everyone else who came before him.

Although some could contend that Cena has lost too much recently, his legacy as a five-time United States champion is now essentially invincible. After that, the older man will return to Hollywood, while Theory will remain with the business and work hard each week to become WWE's upcoming crossover star. With all this knowledge, it is obvious who must prevail in the United States championship contest at WrestleMania 39.
