Alex Hales was all set to play for the Kolkata franchise in the previous edition of the tournament but opted out due to bubble fatigue. He will not take part in the Indian T20 League 2023 due to personal commitments

4. Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins claimed that he wanted to concentrate on the approaching Ashes series in 2023 and said that he had to take the tough call on the back of the hectic schedule lined up right after the conclusion of the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League. 

3. Sam Billings

Sam Billings, was a part of the Kolkata camp during the 2022 edition and the talented batter might as well consider returning to the league for the 2024 edition. But for now, the English wicketkeeper has shifted his focus towards County cricket.  

2.  Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo was an active part of the Chennai franchise. However, the Chennai franchise decided to end his run and eventually released him ahead of the auction. Bravo is all set to take the role of the bowling coach of the franchise. 

1. Kieron Pollard

 Kieron Pollard  was an integral part of the Mumbai team. Pollard announced his retirement from the league. However, it is not the end of the Caribbean star as he vowed to continue with the franchise as the batting coach.
