5. Khaleel Ahmed (Delhi)

Khaleel Ahmed  who has an economy of around 8.5 in the league, will look to turn things around and make an impact for the team in the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League.  Khaleel’s lack of consistency made fans question his place in the team. 

4. Varun Chakravarthy (Kolkata)

Varun Chakravarthy played for the Kolkata franchise during the 2020 season.  Chakravarthy had a poor outing last season as he managed to pick only 4 wickets in the 8 matches that he played and the fans went on to question the decision. 

3. Vijay Shankar (Gujarat)

Vijay Shankar was retained by the Gujarat franchise ahead of the mini-auction. However, the decision was questioned by the team’s fans as Shankar, who is known for his conservative approach, averages only around 23 in the Indian T20 League and has bagged only 9 wickets in the tournament so far. 

2. Riyan Parag (Rajasthan)

Riyan Parag, the Indian youngster, made it to the Rajasthan franchise in the year 2019 and has stayed with the team since then.  However, fans have been questioning his place in the team for a long time but the management went on to retain the player ahead of the 2023 mini-auction as well. 

1. Devon Conway (Chennai)

 Chennai retained Devon Conway, the New Zealand opener and much to the dreariness of the team, the southpaw did not have a good outing in the previous edition of the Indian T20 League.
