MS Dhoni has been known to surprise many with his out of the blue decisions. From stepping down as India skipper mid series to announcing retirement with a small social media post, it's hard to predict what's going on in Dhoni's mind. Just before the start of the 15th edition of the Indian T20 League, Dhoni once again surprised many and stepped down as Chennai skipper. As soon as the news broke out, many started speculating that the upcoming season might be Dhoni’s last.

The CEO of the Chennai team, Kasi Viswanathan, now has made a big statement about Dhoni's future as a player. Viswanathan believes that Dhoni will play a few more seasons for the franchise before retiring. “I don’t think it will be his last season. As long as he is fit, we want him to play. That is my wish, I don’t know about him, ” said Kasi Viswanathan as quoted by Zee news.

The CEO further said that he respects Dhoni's decision to step down as captain as it is taken in the best interest of the franchise. “See whatever decision MS takes it is in the best interest of the team. So, there is nothing to worry for us. We respect his decision. He is always there to guide us,” he added. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja has been made the skipper of the side. Post being named as captain, Jadeja said that having MSD by his side will be a boost while leading a team.

Chennai will open their campaign against Kolkata on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
