Greece star Tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas has won another major title this year. In April this year, Tsitsipas defended his Monte Carlo Masters crown on clay. Tsitsipas beat Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7/2) in the Mallorca Open final on Sunday.

World number six player kept his nerve in the breaker. The situation had arrived after he failed to serve out the game at 5-3. The 23-year-old will now play Wimbledon next week against Swiss qualifier Alexander Ritschard.

This victory has come at a time when he recently lost the Round Of 16 game against N. Kyrgios. The Greece player lost the game by 7-5, 6-2, 6-4. He had started well in the game but lost his way afterwards. Talking about his career, he became the top-ranked player from his country in 2019 after reaching the fifth place. Last year, he was promoted to number four in June and three in August.

The five-time Grand Slam finalist became the Greek Grand Slam finalist in 2021 Roland Garros last year. Also, he became the youngest Grand Slam finalist at age of 22 since Andy Murray (22) in the 2010 Australian Open. Before turning 21, he beat Nadal (2019 Madrid SF), Federer (2019 Australian Open 4R), and Djokovic (2018 Toronto 3R). Apart from winning ATP Masters 1000 Monte Carlo and Lyon, he has won Marseille (2019 and 2020), Nitto ATP finals (2019), Estoril (2019), and Stockholm (2018).

He started playing the game at the age of three. He can speak Greek, Russian and English and is eager to learn Chinese and Spanish. The Tennis star's first coaches were his parents. His father,  Apostolos is his coach and his mother, Julia Salnikova, is an ex-pro and was his 1st coach. The duo met when Julia played and Apostolos officiated at a WTA event in Athens.

He has three siblings - Petros, Pavlos and Elisavet. They all play Tennis. Notably, his Grandfather, Sergei was 1956 Olympic gold medalist in football. His aunt sponsored his career as a junior player after his father quit his job to travel with him.
