PKL 2022 26th October Full Review: Gujarat Giants register a massive win over U Mumba, Bengal Warriors stun Dabang Delhi K.C

The match 40 and 41 and the Pro Kabaddi League turned out to be thrilling affairs as U Mumba beat Gujarat Giants.

The exciting action continued in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 as Gujarat Giants and U Mumba went head-to-head against each other in the first game at Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru. Giants were placed at no five position in the points table while Mumba were placed at the no 9 position going into this game.

The exhilaration in the crowd was palpable as the referee blew the whistle to signal the start of the riveting match. Gujarat wasted no time at the start of the game and took an early lead. The game was a neck-to-neck battle between both sides as Raiders and Defenders gave their all for their respective sides.

Guman Singh took out Arkam Shaikh to give Gujarat a slender lead of 8-7 with less than 10 minutes to play in the first half. The Giants inflicted ALL OUT on U Mumba as the scores were level at 14-14 with less than five minutes to go.

At half-time, there was nothing to separate the two sides as the scores were level at 16-16 with the game heading towards a thrilling finish. Both the teams continued to give a tough fight to each other in the second half as well with the scores reading 27-25 in favour of U Mumba.

U Mumba's Ashish tackled Gujarat Giants' Rakesh with the score at 34-26 in favour of U Mumba. With just under five minutes left to play, Gujarat Giants desperately needed to find a way to bounce back into the game.

When the final whistle was blown, U Mumba were leading Gujarat Giants by 37-29 stopping their winning juggernaut of two games.

Bengal Warriors stunned Dabang Delhi to end their losing streak

The second match of the day was between Dabang Delhi K.C and Bengal Warriors. Delhi were placed at the top position in the points table while Bengal were at eight heading into the game.

If the first match wasn’t enough to keep the crowd on the edge of their seats, they were treated with another thrilling start in the second game. Bengal Warriors were not at all daunted by Delhi as the score was levelled at 7-7 just a few minutes into the game. Naveen Kumar managed to beat Girish Ernak in an interesting duel, whereas Bengal Warriors' Shrikanth Jadhav took out Krishan.

The Warriors finished had a two-point advantage against Dabang Delhi at the halfway mark leading by 15-13. It was still anybody's game as the crowd prepared itself for another action-packed thriller.

The Warriors continued to stamp their authority over Delhi in the second half as Ajinkya Kapre and Naveen Kumar won bonuses for their acts. However, the game was still wide open with the score 29-23 in favour of the Bengal Warriors.

Bengal continued their lead in the absence of Naveen Kumar with the score on 31-24 with 10 minutes remaining in the game. Delhi scored some crucial points in the final stages of the game to cut down on Bengal's lead. However, all their efforts went in vain as Bengal emerged victorious with the score on 35 - 30 in their favour. With this win, they also ended their losing streak in two consecutive games.
