So, the awards for the 2021-22 season are waiting there for the perfect candidates as the UEFA has announced the nominees for both Men’s Player of the Year and Men’s Coach of the Year awards. As the season of 2021-22 has been summed up so UEFA came up with the recent announcement about the names of the nominees.

In a major piece of news, the association has named Karim Benzema, Thibaut Courtois, and Kevin De Bruyne as the nominees for the Men’s player of the year awards 2021-22.

Speaking of Benzema’s performance then he played a vital role in Real Madrid lifting three trophies last season. These trophies include the likes of La Liga, Supercopa de Espana, and the Champions League. Benzema registered 44 goals to his name alongside 15 assists in only 46 appearances during the last season.

He also amazed the footballing world with his hat-tricks in the crucial encounters against French giants Paris Saint-German and Chelsea during the Champions League.

Other than Benzema, Courtois also marked his remarkable presence with his stellar contributions and performances for Real Madrid. His most important saves in the entire season, helped the team a lot during the Supercopa de Espana and the Champions League.

The Belgium-based international went on to save 59 goals during Real Madrid’s campaign in the Champions League of 2021-22 season. Everyone was in shock when he saved record nine goals in the final encounter of the tournament against Liverpool.
